ANTD.VN – On the evening of October 29 in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee held the 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards ceremony, alongside the Vietnamese Female Student Awards in Science and Technology, recognizing exceptional contributions by young researchers and innovators.
The ceremony was attended by senior leaders, including Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; and Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee, President of the Vietnam National Union of Students, and Chairman of the Awards Council.

Celebrating the country’s brightest young scientific talents
Ten outstanding young scientists were honored with the 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award, recognizing their exceptional research and contributions across diverse fields such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, precision medicine, and advanced materials.
Delivering remarks at the event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that as Vietnam enters a new era of innovation and development—especially following the adoption of Resolution No. 57—these awards carry special significance. “They serve not only to recognize excellence but also to inspire and nurture the country’s next generation of scientific talent,” he noted.

This year’s awards attracted 83 young Vietnamese scientists, marking a 34% increase from 2024. Notably, 26 nominees are currently working in leading global research environments across Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, China, France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Australia—highlighting the growing international recognition of Vietnamese science.
Similarly, the 2025 Vietnamese Female Student Awards in Science and Technology drew 176 exceptional participants from 45 universities, an increase of 56.6% from the previous year. Among them were four ethnic minority students and 24 young Party members, a testament to the confidence, global mindset, and growing leadership of young Vietnamese women in science and technology.
Investing in innovation and nurturing young scientific talent

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo Member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, underscored the vital role of science, technology, and innovation in determining a nation’s global standing amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“The young scientists honored today are not only solving Vietnam’s challenges but are also contributing to solutions for humanity — from climate change and clean energy to artificial intelligence and advanced medical research,” he said.
He called on ministries, government agencies, and organizations to develop specialized policies to identify, nurture, and empower young scientific talent—including tax incentives, land access, credit support, and funding opportunities from innovation and startup funds.
“Policies must come to life, not remain on paper,” Mr. Chien stressed, echoing General Secretary Tô Lâm’s directive to “remove every bottleneck and barrier to the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.”

He also proposed establishing innovation incubators at universities, research institutes, and high-tech zones, while expanding international academic exchanges and creating a national database of young Vietnamese scientific talents to strengthen collaboration and resource utilization.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Member of the Board of Directors of Tan Hiep Phat Group, presented the Vietnam Female Student Awards in Science and Technology to outstanding female students.
