HANOI, August 18, 2025 — In a heartfelt ceremony at the editorial office of An Ninh Thủ Đô (“Capital Security”) newspaper (82 Lý Thường Kiệt Street), the “THP Foundation – With You on the Path to the Future” program was officially launched. Jointly initiated by Tân Hiệp Phát Group and the editorial board of An Ninh Thủ Đô, under the direction of the Hanoi City Police Department, the initiative is a tribute to the sacrifices of police officers who died in the line of duty, providing long-term educational support to their children.
The launch event was attended by senior leaders of the Hanoi Police, representatives from affiliated police units, executives from Tân Hiệp Phát Group, and the families of fallen officers. The ceremony, filled with emotional moments, underscored a deep message of gratitude, solidarity, and community responsibility, reaffirming the role of both public and private sectors in building a compassionate society.
A Lifeline of Nearly 1 Billion VND for Orphaned Police Children
Honoring fallen officers has long been a tradition within the Hanoi Police. Regular commemorative events are held on national remembrance days, such as July 27 (Day of Martyrs and Invalids) and Lunar New Year, to recognize the sacrifices of police martyrs and offer continued support to their families.
Since 2000, the An Ninh Thủ Đô editorial board has provided monthly stipends to 18 children of deceased officers until they reach the age of 18. This long-standing effort represents a profound gesture of care and solidarity from the city’s police force, aiming to ease the burdens faced by the families left behind.
Tân Hiệp Phát, a leading Vietnamese beverage manufacturer, has consistently contributed to social welfare initiatives nationwide. Children, especially those in difficult circumstances, have been a focus of its community outreach. Beyond financial assistance, the company maintains regular contact with the beneficiaries, offering mentorship and emotional support to help them succeed in school and in life.

A 6-Year Commitment: 999 Million VND in Educational Support
The “With You on the Path to the Future” program is part of a series of meaningful activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025), the August Revolution, and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2). Under this initiative, Tân Hiệp Phát will sponsor the education of the children of Hanoi police officers who died in the line of duty and are from underprivileged families, supporting them until they turn 18.
The program will run from 2025 to 2031 with a total commitment of 999 million VND, including 300 million VND allocated for 2025 alone. Support will be tailored according to education levels to ensure optimal conditions for learning and personal development.
During the launch, representatives from Tân Hiệp Phát and An Ninh Thủ Đô directly handed over the first six months’ worth of aid for 2025 to the families, just in time for the upcoming school year.

Gratitude, Sacrifice, and Shared Responsibility
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Duy Hưng, Chairman of the Governance & Reputation Committee at Tân Hiệp Phát, emphasized the deep connection between public safety and business sustainability.

“We understand that the safe business environment we enjoy today is made possible by the silent sacrifices of police officers. The ones who bear the greatest loss are often their families. By joining hands with An ninh Thủ đô, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to easing their hardship,” Mr. Hưng shared.
“With support from the Hanoi Police and society, we believe these children will grow up with pride and determination, becoming worthy successors to their fathers’ legacy.”
A Call for Broader Participation
Colonel Nguyễn Ngọc Quyền, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police Department, highlighted the vital role of the police in maintaining peace and safety, and the high price paid by those who have fallen in the line of duty.

“We are deeply grateful to Tân Hiệp Phát for sponsoring this meaningful initiative. I encourage more businesses to come forward, contribute, and expand these efforts to support the families of martyrs and injured officers.”
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Thanh Bình, Editor-in-Chief of An ninh Thủ đô, noted that caring for war invalids and the families of fallen officers has always been a top priority for the publication.

“Even in peacetime, on the frontlines of crime prevention and public order, lives are still lost. This year, as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 20th anniversary of the All-People National Defense Day, we’re proud to join Tân Hiệp Phát in honoring our heroes.”
Tân Hiệp Phát is no stranger to civic involvement. The company has also supported the annual Hanoi High School Football Tournament (soon entering its 24th year) and contributed disaster relief funds, notably during the devastating Typhoon Yagi in September 2024.
A Moral Boost for Those Who Serve
Lieutenant Colonel Phùng Cảnh Toàn, Deputy Chief of Vĩnh Tuy Ward Police, stressed the far-reaching impact of the initiative:
“This isn’t just about financial aid. The support from leadership and corporate partners like Tân Hiệp Phát boosts morale across the force. It reassures those in service that their families will be looked after, should the worst happen.”

As Vietnam moves toward celebrating eight decades of its police force, “With You on the Path to the Future” stands as a powerful symbol of gratitude, compassion, and collective responsibility — a reminder that behind every uniformed officer are families whose sacrifices must never be forgotten.
